A couple recent reviews of concerts

Here are a few recent reviews of Panic! at the Disco concerts. I will warn you that some are good and others aren't so friendly. A pop punk band that delivers clever lyrics and intriguing arrangements is a rare find. For every Green Day there is about 100 acts offering three chords and a blast of banal lyrics at Warped Tour. However, Fall Out Boy rose above the muck last summer with the album "From Under the Cork Tree." The disc blends engaging melodies with strong readings of bassist's Peter Wentz's pointed lyrics concerning woman problems - the results mostly transcend the typical MTV and "TRL" fare. linkA friendly review of another amazing Panic! at the Disco show:In front of more than 2,000 spectators, Panic! played songs in the tunefully wound-up style popularized by bands such as My Chemical Romance, Motion City Soundtrack and Fall Out Boy -- whose bass player signed Panic! to the independent record label he runs on the side. But with a cellist an ...

Panic! at the Disco Bassist Splits

The split with former bassist Brent Wilson has landed Panic! at the Disco in the news for all the wrong reasons.  Check out all thr fun the media has been having with this fiasco. When the band announced the split in May they said it was a tough decision but that both sides were still friends, not so it turns out.Speaking to MTV Wilson fumed: "I was kicked out of the band. It was 100 percent a surprise to me. We were about to leave for a show in California, and they called me the night before and told me I was out of the band. The only reason they gave was that it was for 'musical purposes.'” linkThe split between Panic! At The Disco and former bassist Brent Wilson just got nastier. Both sides are making accusations about each other, the latest being that Wilson didn't even really appear on the LP. Last month the band told MTV News that the decision to have Wilson leave was "a decision we all came to as a band." Wilson claims that that is untrue an ...

The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage

Here is a review of their most popular song to date:'The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage' is a lightning fast little slice of emo-rock joy from relative newcomers Panic! At The Disco. The boldness and emotive content of the song title belies the jumpy, catchy melody sung by lead singer Brendon Urie, as he pleads: "Don't you see?/I'm the narrator and this is just the prologue." Panic! were discovered by Fall Out Boy's bassist Pete Wentz, and despite their youth, are already providing strong opposition to Fall Out Boy and many other emo groups around in both the US and the UK. 'The Only Difference' comes from debut album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, and if the boys can keep this standard of single up, they're sure to shoot past the competition without enough time to even doff their - well, fringes.link
